Milisifilem Collective initiates a self-recording project through self-portraits to respond to the situation that requires each individual to return to their own private spaces since the announcement by the government to conduct social distancing for areas affected by Covid-19. Each participant is invited to make self-portraits with mediums such as; ink, ballpoint, colored pencil and oil pastel on paper during this solitary quarantine process. These visual recordings can be selfies or private spaces that can be imagined as wider spaces; social space. It is hoped that this self-portrait project and awareness towards the current situation, outside the private spaces, can be recorded in the expressions and imagination of the participants. The participant’s works will be published regularly through social media accounts of Milisifilem Collective as a form of its presentation.
