The solo exhibition of Dalu Kusma entitled “Aku, kuota, dan kita“, or “Me, quota and us”, has been held on November 22-30, 2019 at Pejaten Huis. Dalu Kusma is an artist who uses social media, especially Instagram, as one of his main mediums of work. In this exhibition the power of content in the texts of @masdalu was highlighted. Manshur Zikri as a curator tries to curate the texts produced by Dalu by pulling the connectedness of the issues highlighted and his mode of disclosure. For that he tries to see the relevance of these texts to actual events or collective memory of how the mass media works in influencing our way of thinking. Dalu invited Otty Widasari to recite the texts he produce in @masdalu account as one of the main events at the closing night of the exhibition on 30 November 2019. As an artist, writer, and alternative media activist who had also followed @masdalu‘s practices so far, Otty saw Dalu Kusma’s work as a good example of contemporary poetry. Inviting Afrian Purnama (film critic), Dhanurendra Pandji (artist), and Alessandra Langit (student), Otty presented this declamation in the form of Performative Text performance. Afterwards, the exhibition was closed by a musical performance by two folk from Bogor, Ambarila @amba.rila. This exhibition is supported by @pejatenhuis @visual.jalanan @forumlenteng.
