The screening of films from various programs of ARKIPEL was carried out in the framework of a program exchange collaboration with Kasseler Dokfest. The screening was held on November 16, 2019 at Bali Kino Kulturbanhof. Films screened included Into the Dark (Dhuha Ramadhani/Luthfan Nur Rochman/Maria Silalahi, 2018), Pagi yang Sungsang (Manshur Zikri/Pingkan Polla/Prashasti W. Putri, 2018), Cut (Robby Ocktavian/Dhanu Pandji/Raras Umaratih, 2018), Sapu Angin (Cahyo Prayogo, 2018), Adegan yang Hilang dari Petrus Draft #4 (Arief Budiman, 2019), and Rimba Kini (Wisnu Dewa Broto, 2018). The program was presented by Yuki Aditya as Director of ARKIPEL Festival and continued with a discussion moderated by Philip Widmann. Yuki Aditya was also one of the judges for the Golden Key (Goldener Schlussel) competition, which gave awards to film directors under the age of 35. Other judges were Claudia Dillmann, an academic, former director of the German Film Institute and Filmmuseum in Frankfurt am Main, Henner Koch, from the Kassel Cultural Center in the Department of Culture Promotion (Abteilung Kulturförderung), Tanja C. Krainhofer, a film festival consultant, and Agnes Lisa Wegner, a documentary filmmaker from Mannheim.

ARKIPEL 2020 will invite Kasseler Dokfest to screen a number of programs from the festival. This program exchange supported by Goethe Institut Indonesia.

Presentation of FORUM LENTENG at Freie University, Berlin
Yuki Aditya, invited by Volker Pantenburg (academic, critic, and expert on Harun Farocki’s works), gave a lecture on Film Collective at Freie University, Berlin on 18 November 2019. The class was attended by students majoring in Film Studies and Media Studies who were taking the course and several other cultural observers. The presentation and discussion lasted for 90 minutes with enthusiasm from participants who asked about the definition of film collective and the socio-political situation in Indonesia, as well as the networks between film collectives in Indonesia and internationally.
