Throughout the months of November-December 2018, Milisifilem Collective travelled to various regions spread across the island of Sumatra-Java. This tour is part of the Black-White Film Project Roadshow activities outside the city of Jakarta. The roadshow is not only intended to showcase the Black and White Film Project which was produced with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture but also as part of the learning process for the participants. In each site visited, Milisifilem collaborates with local collectives to develop a screening and post-screening discussion. The tour was done in order to provide experience when the participants needed to build networks among collectives, especially those who concerned on film and art. In addition to being in touch with the collectives and broader audiences in each location, this roadshow also intends to introduce the methods done by Milisifilem in producing visuals. The selection of locations spread across the two islands–and planned to be extended to other islands–is also expected to help participants to study the contemporary Indonesian cinema landscape through film collectives. Until now there have been 11 locations divided into four regions that have been visited: West Java Region East Java Region West Sumatera – Riau Region Central Java – Yogyakarta Region Year Indonesia
