In his visit to Indonesia for attending Decompression #10 held by ruangrupa, Jean-Gabriel Pèriot a video artist from France came to Forum Lenteng and presented his artistic ideas of audiovisual art-making and talked about the meaning of history and archives which he is using regularly. The discussion was on 5 January 2011, attended by Forum Lenteng members and friends from other communities who also made audiovisual arts. this two way discussion were not talking about arts matters but also talked about social issue, politic and global economic.
Jean Gabriel Pèriot was born in Bellac, France. His works has been awarded in many art exhibition and international cinema event. Some of the videos have been exhibited in OK.Video Militia 3rd Jakarta International Video Festival at the National Gallery of Indonesia in 2007.
