Milisifilem Collective and 69 Performance Club held a 72-hour group performance and exhibition of sketch and installation titled Ambangan on March 13-21, 2020, which took place at the gallery of Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society. The performance and exhibition are part of the Ambangan art project, curated by Anggraeni Widhiasih and Prashasti WIlujeng Putri, with participants namely Alifah Melisa, Dini Adanurani, Maria Deandra, Maria Silalahi, Niskala Utami, Pingkan Polla and Raras Umaratih. In this presentation, the idea of Ambangan art project is to present a performance in the form of a small-scale simulation of the art scene, incorporating ideas such as the performativity of daily life, artistic practice (sketching), residency, gallery, and exhibition. The entire simulation presented in this representation space also functions as a presentation that cites a jumble of events that shows how a collective-based art scene system works. It is a position, an offer, or part of reality—selected and reorganized in such a way to discuss a greater constellation on a global scale. It is a means to talk about the mutations in the system design we live in, which is always in an equivocal condition to be able to question many versions of its own truth and to continue to exist in the threshold zone. This performance was held on March 13, 2020, at 08.00 West Indonesia Time to March 16, 2020 at 08.00 West Indonesia Time. The performance’s participants are Alifah Melisa, Dini Adanurani, Maria Deandra, Pingkan Polla, Prashasti Wilujeng Putri and Raras Umaratih. Traces of the performance in the form of installations and sketches about friends then become part of the exhibition that is open to the public from March 13, 2020 – March 21, 2020.
