Milisifilem platform continues to this day since it was first initiated in September 2017. This platform specifically explores practices of visual production both technically and contextually relating to contemporary socio-cultural issues—it starts with the practice of making nirmana. Alongside with mentioned issues above, Milisifilem also added more topics related to media literacy through Akumassa program and film criticism through Yukitanonton program. In early April 2018, with support from the Film Development Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, a workshop of black and white short film production took place during the regular milisifilem activities. Milisifilem participants were divided into five small groups, each group consisting of 3 participants. On Saturday, July 7 2018, the five films as the result of the workshop were soft-released. Those films tried to explore ideas related to the citizen’s everyday life, politics, and also cinema culture. Those ideas were processed in several visual experimentations through collage, documentary and fiction. Year Jakarta, Indonesia
