The Interview of 69 Performance Club with Arief Yudhi, Yu Sing, Prof. Hariyadi and Tisna Sanjaya in Jatiwangi and Bandung

On 10 -11 October 2013, three participants of 69 Performance Club –  Otty Widasari, and Pingkan Polla, dan Prashasti Wilujeng Putri – met Arief Yudhi, the founder of Bandung Performance Art Festival (BAPAF) and Jatiwangi Art Factory (JaF), in the headquarter of Jatiwangi Art Factory. In that meeting, four of them discuss the chronology of performance art in Bandung and the establishment of Barak Gallery which was later followed by the establishment of Bandung Performance Art Festival. Aside of that, 69 Performance Club also met Tisna Sanjaya, an artist from Bandung, to discuss the history of “Jeprut” as a term used since 1980’s which then grew as the term of the performance art. The encounter with Tisna also allowed us to talk about his activities as a graphic-based artist.

These three members of 69 Performance Art also met Yu Sing, the architect of Rumah Mikroba (micro bamboo house), to discuss his future involvement in Bangsal Menggawe 2019 program in Pemenang Subdistrict, North Lombok. They also met Prof. Hariyadi, a researcher of Geotechnology from LIPI Bandung, to discuss the problem of disaster mitigation related to the interview which has been conducted previously by several Forum Lenteng’s members to the citizen of Pemenang Subdistrict, North Lombok. This research is part of our progress to build the curatorial of Bangsal Menggawe which will be carried out in 2019.
